JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps women's soccer team posted a dominant performance of Tougaloo College, defeating the Bulldogs 8-0 at Harper Davis Field on Sunday.

Fifth year Mary Ranager recorded a hat trick as six Majors scored. Millsaps outshot their opponents 36-3, including a 23-0 on-target advantage. Sophomore Ana Cuesta tallied four shots on goal to go along with a goal and assist. Classmate Nicole Balduccini added a goal and two assists.

The Majors scored early off a turnover when freshman Julia Gaude intercepted a pass in the sixth minute.

Ranager then scored the next three goals less than 90 seconds apart. In the 10th minute, see found the top right corner following a pass from Balduccini.

A minute later Ranager and freshman Alexa Dubrow completed a nice give-and-go passing play that gave Millsaps a 3-0 lead. The same two connected on a similar play just 22 seconds later to complete Ranager's hat trick.

In the 25th minute, Balduccini found the back of the net off a Cuesta assist. Junior Beyla Bleichner then made it 6-0 seconds before halftime.

Cuesta deposited her shot off a feed from Balduccini in the 58th minute. Just six minutes later, Eliza Maria McMillan was taken down in the box. She made quick work of the penalty opportunity when she found the lower-right corner for the eighth and final tally.

Millsaps now begins SAA play as it travels to Rhodes College on Friday. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. with live stats and video available at gomajors.com.
