MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Millsaps women's soccer team battled in head coach
Dakota Rock's return to Rhodes College, falling 2-0 at Rhodes Soccer Field on Friday.
Rising freshman
Emily Lozano was spectacular, posting a career-high 10 save performance against the defending SAA champs. Rock also made his first return back to Memphis where he was the women's assistant coach the previous three seasons.
Sophomore
Chloee Beebe tallied the Majors' lone shot on goal, while the Lynx posted 12 on-target attempts. Rhodes held a 6-0 corner kick edge and produced slightly less fouls (4-6).
The Lynx scored in the eighth minute, but the Majors would hold strong for the remainder of the match. Beebe would record her shot in the 68th minute looking for a game-tying chance.
