JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps men's soccer team fell short, 3-0 in its non-conference matchup against the University of the Ozarks Eagles at Harper Davis Field on Sunday.
Ozarks scored in the beginning half which came in the 13th minute of the game and again the 31st and 61st minutes. Millsaps posted more corner kicks (6-4), while the Eagles tallied a 7-1 on-target advantage.
Rising freshman Jack Maloney would post four saves defensively. Classmate Jacob Romero led the team in total shot attempts and recorded a shot-on goal in the 76th minute.
Romero's shot nearly bent in, but the Ozark keeper pushed it out with his gloves. Millsaps best chance to score came on a series of corner kicks during the frenzied play.
