CONWAY, Ark. – The Millsaps women's basketball was unable to hold off Hendrix College late, snapping the Majors' 11-game winning streak, 71-69 inside the Grove Gymnasium on Friday.
Millsaps (12-3, 3-1 SAA) won in nearly every statistical category outshooting the Warriors 45.5 percent (25-of-55) to 35.2 percent (19-of-54). Hendrix (5-10, 2-2 SAA) was also outscored, 32-14 in the paint.

Haley Franklin nearly recorded a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds, shooting 9-of-16. Sophomore classmate
Emily Adams tallied a career-high 17 points off a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range.
A third sophomore teammate in
Whitney Novak also nearly tallied a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.
The first quarter showed the game would be hard-fought throughout, which featured 11 total lead changes on the night. Hendrix held a narrow 21-20 advantage after 10 minutes and the teams were tied at 32-32 at halftime.
Novak was a key contributor after intermission, tallying nine of her 11 points by converting difficult layups and jumpers.
The Majors held a 56-48 advantage entering the final quarter. A three-pointer by Hendrix's Alicia McCloria would eventually tie up the game after a methodical comeback at 64-64 with ninety seconds remaining.
A pair of Novak free throws gave the Majors the lead back, but another McCloria three-pointer gave Hendrix a 67-66 edge with one minute to play.
The Warriors would then tack on three more free throws following two Millsaps missed field goals. After an ensuing timeout, senior
Meagan Bickmann sank a clutch trey of her own, making it a 70-69 deficit with 15 seconds on the clock.
Hendrix tallied another free throw and would then withstand another pair of Millsaps missed opportunities down the stretch. Franklin would miss, the Warriors missed two more free throws and Bickmann was stopped in the paint at the buzzer.
