FLOWOOD, Miss. – The Millsaps men's and women's swimming and diving programs returned from the holiday break and continued their 2022-23 success, sweeping Centenary College inside GRIT Training on Saturday. The men won 143-30, while the women triumphed 144-68.
It was the men's third win of the season and the women's second. Millsaps combined to win 21 of 28 events in the 2023 opener.
Graduate
Bryan Sullivan took home victories in the 50-yard fly (22.09 seconds), 100-yard fly (51.66) and 100-yard breaststroke (59.71). Freshman
Andrew Meadows was also victorious in three events. He set the men's school record in the 400-yard IM (4:46.07) and won both the 50-yard breaststroke (31.57) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.47).
Classmate
Ben Anderson also cruised to two event wins in the 200-yard free (1:57.12) as well as the 500-yard free (5:19.47).
Junior
Breydon Conner (50-yard back, 29.70) and freshman
Kaiden Auzenne (50-yard free, 24.10) continued the winning ways for the Majors.
Senior
Cooper Clevenger finished second in the 100-yard free (55.58). It was Clevenger's and Sullivan's final home meet.

Thad Erato and junior
Casey Miller to triumph in the men's 200-yard free relay (1:42.37). Conner, Anderson, Sullivan and Meadows earned a final win in the men's 200-yard medley relay (1:47.04).
On the women's side, sophomore
Kat Burns continued her strong season with three event victories in the 50-yard breaststroke (33.24), 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.45) and 50-yard free (26.20).
Junior
Madisyn Latino and sophomore
Catherine Passarelli also garnered two individual wins. Latino powered through the 50-yard fly (30.10) and 100-yard free (59.47). Passarelli won the 500-yard free (6:05.37) and the 400-yard IM (5:31.50).
The remaining individual winners included junior
Ginny Ray Clevenger (100-yard fly, 1:06.84) and sophomore
Chloee Beebe (200-yard free, 2:13.01).
Freshman
Abigail Hoffman was accompanied by Burns, Clevenger and Latino and dominated the women's 200-yard medley relay (2:02.63).
Millsaps will next compete in a pair of meets in Birmingham, Ala. on Friday, Jan. 20 at 4 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. Friday's meet features host Birmingham-Southern and University of Tennessee Southern, while Sunday sees BSC and University of Montevallo.
