JACKSON, Miss. – Millsaps football junior punter Ethan Klapatch continued to be recognized on the national stage as part of the D3football.com Team of the Week for the third time during the 2023 season, the organization published on Tuesday.
 
The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, currently in its 25th season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are nominated by schools and selected via D3football.com.
 
Klapatch has now been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week three times, including Sept. 26, Oct. 3 and Oct. 31.
 
The Metairie, La., product currently ranks second in NCAA Division III with 45.8 average yards per punt. Additionally, Klapatch sits fourth nationally with 2,106 total punting yards off of 46 total boots.
 
On Saturday, he posted a strong performance for the Majors against No. 5/6 Trinity in San Antonio, Texas. Klapatch totaled 11 punts for 501 yards (45.5 yard average). He also posted a long of 56 yards with four going 50-plus yards. The junior added a 56-yard kickoff and two tackles.
 
He was selected the SAA Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week on Monday as well as on Sept. 25.
 
Millsaps will next host Southwestern University for Senior Day on Saturday, Nov. 4. Festivities will begin shortly after 12:30 p.m. with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. Live video and live stats will be available at gomajors.com.
