FLOWOOD, Miss. – The Millsaps men's and women's swimming and diving programs swam well, but fell in a pair of dual meets, hosting Rhodes College on Saturday inside the Grit Training Facility. Sophomore Ben Anderson shined by claiming three individual victories, with the men being outscored 173-59 and the women being outscored 211-37.

Anderson was a first-place finisher in the 50-yard freestyle (22.72 seconds), 100-yard freestyle (49.17) as well as the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.70).
 
Classmate Brian Ridner placed third overall in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.56), the 200-yard backstroke (2.20.41) and in the 400-yard IM (4:49.30).

Fellow sophomore Andrew Meadows tallied third-place performance in the 100-yard breaststroke, timing 1:12.12.
 
Ridner, Meadows, Anderson and freshman Jackson Van Meter combined to place third in the 200-yard medley relay (1:46.51). The Majors also scored in third position in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:36.45) courtesy of Meadows, Van Meter, sophomore Kaiden Auzenne and freshman Payton Jones.

On the women's side, junior Kat Burns led Millsaps with a second-place showing in the 100-yard freestyle (58.15). She also was third in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.35).

Senior Madisyn Latino was a third-place finisher just behind Burns in the 100-yard freestyle (58.66).

Junior Catherine Passarelli also ended the meet in third in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:22.00.

Latino, Burns, junior Chloee Beebe and sophomore Zoe Cowell worked together for a third-place showing in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:49.13) as well.
 
The Majors will next travel to Cleveland, Miss., for the Delta State Thanksgiving Invitational. The three-day meet will take place, Nov 17-19.
