JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps swimming and diving programs are excited to welcome
Madeline McCloskey as its new assistant coach, the Millsaps College Athletics Department announced on Friday. McCloskey joined the staff in September.
From August 2015 to May 2019, McCloskey was a dominant swimmer at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fla. She qualified for the NCAA National Championships in the 500-, 1,000- and 1,650-yard freestyle events as a standout student-athlete.
McCloskey is currently pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Western New England University.
McCloskey most recently worked at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Central Pharmacy, where she has been working as a pharmacy intern since August 2024.
Before working as a pharmacy intern, McCloskey joined the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Abdominal Transplant in Jackson, Miss., where she served as a transplant program navigator from May 2023 to June 2024.
McCloskey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Nova Southeastern University in May 2019.
She then earned her Master of Science in Biological Sciences from both Mississippi College in 2021 and her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2022.
McCloskey is from Palmer, Mass., and owns a cat named Priscilla Mae. She most recently completed her first-ever triathlon (Iron Man Maryland) on Sept. 20.
