On the men's side, graduate
Bryan Sullivan is back after being named the SAA Men's Swimmer of the Year and SAA Co-Newcomer of the Year following the 2021-22 championship. He currently holds three meet records in the 50-yard free (20.59 seconds), 100-yard back (49.66 seconds) and 100-yard IM (49.83 seconds). Sullivan also holds five conference top all-time open times. Additionally, the Jackson, Miss., product has set 11 school marks this season.
Sullivan enters the conference meet as the top swimmer in seven events. Freshman
Ben Anderson is ranked in the top 10 of three disciplines, including a school-record mark in the 200 free (1:45.99).
Classmate
Andrew Meadows should also post swift times as he sits first in the school record book in the 50 breaststroke, 400 IM and 1000 free. Millsaps has also improved upon four relay records, which includes combinations of Anderson, Sullivan, freshmen
Kaiden Auzenne,
Thad Erato, junior
Casey Miller and senior
Cooper Clevenger.
The women's program should find success across multiple distances in Birmingham as well. Sophomore
Kat Burns leads the way and is ranked in the top 20 across the conference in four events (50 free, 100 free, 50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke). She has established school records in each discipline.
Classmate
Catherine Passarelli holds the 1000 free and 1650 free records and is currently seeded 18th in each race. Additionally, junior
Ginny Ray Clevenger is ranked in the top 15 in both the 200 fly and 400 IM. She boosts the school record in the 200 fly with a time of 2:18.02.
Also, freshman
Zoe Cowell enters the week as the 18th seed in the 200-yard breaststroke owning a time of 2:39.68.
The Majors have set three relay school records thanks to Burns, Clevenger, Passarelli, junior
