DANVILLE, Ky. – The Millsaps baseball team was bested, 13-1 by Centre in seven innings inside Gary Wright Field at Fishman Park on Sunday.

Chris Hart hit 2-4 with an RBI and a double, while junior
Case Page also recorded a pair of hits.
The Majors opened the game by placing two of their first three batters on base. Centre was able to record the two final outs and escape the threat.
The Colonels would plate two runs in bottom of the first before sophomore
Zac Farris would reach third on a walk, passed ball and wild pitch in the second. Centre again managed to escape the jam.
In the third inning, Centre thwarted a Major chance with runners on the corners. The Colonels added four runs in the fourth and seven runs in the fifth to build a 13-0 lead.
Millsaps broke the shutout with a tally in the top of the seventh. Pinch hitter
Nathan Chilton reached successfully and pinch runner
Joshua Laurent made it to third following a
David Abbadessa hit by pitch and steal. Hart would double home Laurent for the final run of the game.
