JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps football program is ready for action as it unveiled its 2023 fall calendar on Thursday, the Millsaps College Athletics Department announced.
The Majors are scheduled to face 10 opponents and host five foes. Millsaps will open the season at Belhaven in the Riverside Rumble on Thursday, Aug. 31. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
McMurry University then travels to Harper Davis Field for the Millsaps home opener on Saturday, Sept. 9, beginning at 1 p.m. The Majors downed the War Hawks, 27-13 in Abilene, Texas last season.
The remaining eight games will feature Southern Athletic Association matchups. The Majors will commence their conference slate at Sewanee with a 1 p.m. kickoff on Sept. 16.
Hendrix then treks to Jackson on Sept. 23 for a 2 p.m. kickoff. Millsaps bested Sewanee, 30-27 and Hendrix, 34-28 in the previous meetings.
The Majors are then scheduled to battle Birmingham-Southern in Alabama at 4 p.m. on Sept. 30.
Heading back home, Millsaps plays host to Rhodes at 3 p.m. the following weekend on Oct. 7. Berry then welcomes the Majors for a 5 p.m. start on Oct. 14.
Homecoming will feature Centre College, beginning at 12 p.m. on Oct. 21. The final road game will take place at Trinity on Oct. 28. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.
Senior Day will then conclude with new SAA football member Southwestern University on Nov. 4. Recognition and festivities begin prior to the 1 p.m. kickoff.
