ATLANTA – The Millsaps women's tennis program downed Oglethorpe, 5-4 in a thrilling comeback, while the men's team narrowly fell by the same 5-4 score at the Downing Howell Tennis Courts on Saturday.

The Majors will next remain on the road and battle Berry on Sunday, beginning at 8 a.m. CT.

Women's Recap: W, 5-4
 
The Majors were able to overcome a 3-0 deficit after losing three doubles matchups. Millsaps stormed back by taking five of six victories across singles courts.

Sophomores Segen Lister and Mackenzie Vordick battled and fell in a narrow tiebreaker on doubles Court 3, 8-7 (7-2).

Oglethorpe went ahead 4-0 with a win on Court 1 singles, but the Majors battled back in all remaining head-to-head pairings. Junior Madison Williams (6-4, 6-4), sophomore Mary Dabadie (6-4, 6-1) and sophomore Alexis Oliver (6-4, 6-2) won in two sets on Courts 2, 3 and 5, respectively.

Vordick and Lister fought their way back and dropping the first set. Vordick triumphed, 6-0, 6-4  in the final two sets on Court 4 before Lister clinched the match, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 on Court 6.

Millsaps held a narrow 2-1 lead after three identical 8-6 decisions across doubles. Senior Trevor Vaccaro and freshman Sam Tuli as well as graduate John Kimball and senior Hamilton Jackson won on Courts 1 and 3, respectively.

Kimball made quick work of his opponent on singles Court 3, 6-0, 6-1. Junior Jakub Bobinski also secured a thrilling, 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) decision on Court 6. Oglethorpe clinched the match with victories on Court 1, 2, 4 and 5.
