JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps men's soccer program is ready for battle as it prepares to move up the table in the Southern Athletic Association after unveiling the 2023 fall calendar, announced by the Millsaps College Athletics Department on Friday.
The Majors are scheduled to face 16 opponents during the regular season and host 10 foes on the Harper Davis Field pitch.
Millsaps will open the season at home against McMurry on Friday, Sept. 1. and with Schreiner on Sunday, Sept. 3.
The Majors will then trek to Texas to face two non-conference opponents in ETBU (Sept. 7) and LeTourneau (Sept. 9).
Millsaps travels back to Jackson for a four match home stand. Beginning with Huntingdon on Sept. 13, the Majors will look to seal the victory as both teams met in a 2-2 draw last season.
The Majors will host Concordia University Texas (Sept. 15), Rhodes (Sept. 22) and Jackson area foe Tougaloo. Millsaps eyes another victory after the team took down the Bulldogs, 3-0 victory last September.
After a two-game SAA road stretch in Georgia, the Majors return to Harper Davis Field to face Sewanee (Oct. 13) and Centre (Oct. 15).
Remaining at home, the Majors will look forward to hosting rival Belhaven in the Riverside Derby on Wednesday, Oct. 18, beginning with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Millsaps will close out the regular season against Birmingham-Southern at home on Oct. 21 and travel to nearby MUW on Oct. 24. The SAA Tournament First Round is slated for Oct. 28, with the Semifinal on Nov. 3 and Final set for Nov. 5.
