JACKSON, Miss. – Delighting their fans in their home return, the Millsaps women's volleyball team performed at a high level against local opponent Tougaloo College in a Saturday scrimmage. The Majors looked well prepared as they bested every set in convincing fashion, 25-17, 25-8, 25-12 inside the Hangar Dome.

Brenna Macaluso erupted with eight kills and a block solo, while junior
Anna Capezzera also finished with eight kills and a one block assist on the defensive end. Sophomore
Mallory Richardson finished with six kills and a one block assist as junior
Zoe Elder added 22 assists and a team-high eight digs.
The Majors scored the first point of the match, but the Bulldogs would build a 4-1 lead early. Sophomore
Ally Baer would use a pair of service aces to help regain the momentum, helping put the Majors up 10-6.

Ashlyn Moore tallied the first block. Macaluso and Capezerra would continue to dominate by combining for five kills to claim the first set, 25-17.
Staying on fire, the Majors opened the second set with an incredible, 19-4 lead. Richardson and Macaluso ended the set with the final four Millsaps kills to help claim the second set, 25-8.
Remaining focused into the third, the Majors would build a 6-0 advantage. Millsaps kept the Bulldogs at bay and closed the match on an 6-1 rush to win the match, 25-12.
