JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps women's soccer program will be hosting the 2023 Millsaps Women's Soccer Classic at Harper Davis Field, Friday, Sept. 1 through Sunday, Sept. 3.
 
Huntingdon College and McMurry University will compete against one another and with the Majors in a three-match, round-robin format.

The Majors, led by captains Nicole Balduccini and Riley Ely, look to use the classic as a starting point after competing in two exhibition matches a week ago. Graduate Mary Ranager and freshman Alex Bremond both scored in the exhibition with Hinds Community College on Aug. 25. Sophomore Alexa Dubrow has also been clinical on the field early, having tallied an assist in the same match.

The Hawks enter the weekend with a pair of exhibition matches to their credit. Huntingdon finished last season sixth out of nine teams in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) with a 6-6-3 overall record. Senior Madison Tryon is back after finishing ninth in the conference with 14 points (six goals, two assists).
 
McMurry University | Roster | Stats | Schedule

McMurry will also be playing their first matches this season at Harper Davis Field. They finished 2022 with an 8-6-4 record behind junior goal scorer Emily Holland 's eight goals. The War Hawks secured fourth place in the American Southwest Conference standings. Sophomore Alexis Lira and senior McKenna Standifer recorded two goals each last fall.
