ATLANTA – Millsaps football junior punter
Ethan Klapatch continued to impress the conference with his kicking abilities as he was named the SAA Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
Klapatch did his part pinning Hendrix deep, sailing four punts 221 yards (55.2 yard average), with three going 50-plus yards in a 53-42 defeat on Saturday.
The two-time member of the All-SAA Honorable Mention Defensive Team posted a long of 67 yards with two kicks landing inside the 20-yard line as well as forcing a fair catch.
Monday's announcement was the fourth SAA weekly award for Klapatch in his collegiate career. He earned the recognition once as a freshman and twice as a sophomore.
