CONWAY, Ark. – The Millsaps women's soccer team went up against Hendrix College on Friday at Warrior Field. While the Majors stood tall for much of the match, it ended in a 3-0 victory for Hendrix.
The Majors saw a great deal of success from one of their usual stars in sophomore goalkeeper
Emily Lozano. Lozano currently ranks second in the conference with 50 saves and posted six in the match, including a few which kept the Majors within striking distance.
Hendrix (9-2, 2-0 SAA) tallied two goals in the first half. The first was scored in the 18th minute by Samantha Barrett and a second goal was scored by Emily Seymour in the 22nd minute.
Offensively, the Majors were led by freshman
Alex Bremond, who recorded a shot on goal in the 47th minute.
The second half saw Seymour garner her second goal of the game in the 62th minute for the final 3-0 tally.
