CANTON, Ga. – Millsaps volleyball junior Ally Baer was key in helping the Majors sweep Oglethorpe University and Berry College over the weekend. She was voted the Southern Athletic Association Offensive Athlete of the Week, following a vote by conference coaches on Monday.

Baer hit .347 with 20 kills, 11 digs, four blocks, two aces and added a pair of assists combined against the Stormy Petrels and Vikings. She highlighted 12 kills and nine digs versus Oglethorpe on Saturday. The Pace, Fla., product added eight kills, no errors and four blocks against Berry on Sunday.

The junior joins senior Anna Capezzera with SAA weekly honors this season. Capezzera was also named the SAA Offensive Athlete of the Week on Sept. 9.

Millsaps volleyball will next host Centre College on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. Live video and live stats will be provided at gomajors.com.
