JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps women's volleyball team will travel to Danville, Ky., to compete in the 2024 Southern Athletic Association Volleyball Championship, set for Friday through Sunday.
The 2024 campaign has already been tremendous for the Majors as they closed out the regular season at 22-5 with an 8-4 record in conference play.
Millsaps will enter the tournament as the No. 3 seed and they will match up with No. 6 seed Hendrix College in the First Round, beginning at 2 p.m. CT on Friday. The Majors swept the Warriors in conference play and look to defeat them once again.
Friday's winner will face either No. 2 seed Berry College or No. 7 seed Sewanee in the SAA Semifinal, starting at 5:30 p.m. CT on Saturday. The SAA Championship match crown a title winner and automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament, which is slated for an 11 a.m. CT start on Sunday.
Millsaps also swept No. 5 seed Oglethorpe University and No. 7 seed Sewanee, while splitting with No. 2 seed Berry College and No. 4 seed Rhodes College. The Majors took No. 1 seed and host Centre College to five sets in a pair of narrow defeats in the regular season.
