JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps baseball team will look for a promising season after adding depth and growing a 42-man roster to 57 student-athletes. On Thursday, the Majors announced their 2025 schedule, which features 33 games, 11 homestands and 11 road games ahead of postseason play.
The Majors will begin the 2025 regular season hosting MUW at Twenty Field on Tuesday, Feb. 11 before a three-game home series against Edgewood College, Feb. 14-16.
Millsaps will hit the road to battle Huntingdon for the first time on Feb. 18. The squad will return home to take the diamond against LeTourneau in a two-day home series the following weekend.
The team will continue their home stretch against Alma College on Feb. 27 and 28 as well as March 1.
The Majors will then complete their three-home series against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, March 4 and 6.
After facing the Engineers, Millsaps will begin focusing on the
Hawks Classic hosted by Huntingdon College.
In the Hawks Classic the team will share Neal Posey Field with MUW on March 7, Huntingdon on March 8 and Brevard College on March 9.
The Majors will follow and begin Southern Athletic Association action on March 15-16 in a three-game series against Centre.
Millsaps will continue conference competition against Hendrix at Twenty Field on March 21-22 before hosting Belhaven on March 25 in the Cowboy Maloney Series.
The Majors will close out the month at Sewanee on March 29-30 and travel to Belhaven on April 1 for the second game of the Cowboy Maloney Series.
After battling the Blazers, Millsaps will welcome Oglethorpe in trio of games in Jackson, April 4-5.
Millsaps will then clash again with Huntingdon on April 9, this time at Twenty Field before continuing SAA action at Rhodes, April 12-13.
The team will then travel to face Belhaven in the Cowboy Maloney Series conclusion on April 15.
Millsaps next treks to Mount Berry, Ga., to vanquish Berry, April 18-19 to close out the regular-season conference slate.
The Majors finalize the 2025 baseball regular season against Centenary in Shreveport La., (April 23) and host MUW on April 29 in non-conference finales.
Postseason play will feature best of three series with the No. 2, 3 and 4 seeds hosting, May 2-3. The winners will advance to the double-elimination SAA Championship Series, which will be hosted by the No. 1 seed, May 8-10.
