JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps women's basketball team will be hosting the 2024 SAA Women's Basketball Championship inside the Hanger Dome. Second Round games will take place on Saturday with the Championship to be held on Sunday.
No. 1 seed Millsaps College will face off with No. 4 seed Rhodes College at 3 p.m. on Saturday, which will be followed by No. 2 seed Berry College matching up with No. 3 Centre College at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The winners will meet in the SAA Championship game, which will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. The winner of the SAA postseason crown will earn an automatic bid into the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship.

The Majors have their eyes set on a championship run, entering with a 22-4 overall record and a conference record of 12-2. Millsaps is coming off an 82-67 win in the SAA First Round over Hendrix.
The Majors are led by junior guard and SAA Player of the Year
Haley Franklin, who averages 18.7 points per game. Millsaps also gets significant contributions from sophomore forward
Elyse Warren, who scores 11.2 points per contest and grabs 10.7 rebounds per game. Freshman guard
Garin Freeman has also been an outstanding performer, averaging 10.3 points per game and has 99 assists on the season.

The Vikings hold an 18-8 overall record and an 11-3 conference record. Berry is coming off of an impressive 20-point victory over BSC, which punched their ticket to the SAA Second Round. They are led by junior
Kenadie Lee, who averages 14.9 points per game and leads the team with 68 assists on the year. Sophomore
Elly Callahan is another key player for the Vikings, averaging 12.4 points and a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game. The third-leading scorer for the Vikings is junior
Sylvia Kahoro, who averages 10.8 points per contest.

The Colonels come into the second weekend after a hard-fought, 68-63 victory over Oglethorpe University. Centre holds a 20-6 overall record and a 10-4 conference record. They are paced in scoring by junior
Bailey Rucker, who averages 14.3 points and grabs 3.7 rebounds per game. Other key contributors include sophomore
Makya Grinter who averages 11 points per game and leads the conference in assists with 113 on the season. Senior
Emma Rose Vincent averages 8.8 points per game and is second on the team in rebounds with 5.2 per contest.

The Lynx come into the Second Round as the No. 4 seed with a 16-9 overall record and a 10-4 SAA ledger. Rhodes defeated Sewanee in a double-overtime, nailbiter by a score of 73-70 last weekend. They are led in scoring by sophomore guard
Avery Marsh, who averages 14.9 points per game and grabs five boards per game. The Lynx also receive key contributions from senior
Catherine Althoff, who scores 12.2 points per game and grabs 5.7 rebounds in just 24.6 minutes per game. Sophomore
Giana Vlahakos, the SAA Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Year, leads the Lynx in rebounding with 10.2 rebounds per contest.
