AUSTIN, Texas – A trio of Millsaps men's and women's swimming & diving student-athletes earned spots on the 2023-24 CSC Academic All-District® Swimming & Diving teams, the College Sports Communicators announced on Tuesday. Sophomore

Chloee Beebe and
Kat Burns secured recognition for the women's team.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's and women's swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). Additionally, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's meets OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's total contests during the fall campaign. They must also be sophomores or further along in their academic careers.
Anderson holds school records for the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle as well as being a member of five relay records. Anderson was also named to the 2023-24 All-SAA Second Team in the 100-yard freestyle (46.12), all while maintaining a 3.94 GPA. Anderson is pursuing a degree in Economics.
Beebe currently is on four school relay records, including the 200-yard free relay, 800-yard free relay, 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard medley relay. Beebe is double majoring in Biology and Spanish while upholding a 3.77 GPA.
Burns has also etched her name in the Millsaps swimming & diving record book, setting the top time in 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard-freestyle, 50-yard breaststroke and 100-yard breaststroke. Burns also is currently credited with a hand in four Millsaps relay top times. She has achieved a 3.60 cumulative GPA and is majoring in Accounting.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late April.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
