JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps men's soccer program looks to continue making strides and on Thursday revealed its 2024 Fall schedule, announced by the Millsaps College Department of Athletics.
The Majors will face 16 regular-season foes, including six Southern Athletic Association matches, 10 non-conference contests as well as two exhibition matches, which all kicks off Aug. 20.
A pair of exhibition matches will begin the 2024 season with dates at Holmes Community College in Ridgeland (Aug. 23) and East Mississippi Community College in Scooba (Aug. 27).
In between those matches, the men's soccer team hosts an Alumni Match on Aug. 24 before opening the regular season against Central Baptist College at Harper Davis Field on Aug. 30. Millsaps remains in Jackson to face East Texas Baptist University on Sept. 4. The Majors and Tigers tied 2-2 last season in Texas.
The squad will then return to Harper Davis Field to face LeTourneau (Sept. 7) ahead of a three-match road trip. Millsaps will trek to Huntingdon (Sept. 10) and then face the University of Ozarks (Sept. 13) and Ecclesia College (Sept. 15) on a neutral field in Conway, Ark.
The Majors transit back to Jackson to challenge in-state opponents Tougaloo College (Sept. 19) and MUW (Sept. 24). Millsaps bested the Bulldogs, 2-0 and tied with the Owls, 1-1 in 2023.
On Sept. 28, Rhodes and Millsaps clash in the SAA opener in Memphis. The Majors then continue their road calendar in a rematch with Tougaloo in Ridgeland, Miss. on Oct. 1.
Millsaps resumes SAA action at home against Hendrix on Oct. 4. before competing in two road contests at Sewanee (Oct. 11) and Centre (Oct. 13).
The conference regular-season calendar's conclusion follows with a pair of home matchups against Berry (Oct. 18) and Oglethorpe (Oct. 20).
Millsaps and Belhaven then wrap up the Majors' regular season at Belhaven Bowl Stadium on Oct. 23 prior to postseason play.
The SAA Men's Soccer Championship First Round matchups take place on Nov. 2, while the Semifinals and Finals are scheduled for Nov. 8 and Nov. 10, respectively. The top four seeds will host the Quarterfinals, while the highest remaining seed will host the Semifinals and Finals.
