CANTON, Ga. – The Southern Athletic Association revealed its 2024 SAA football preseason poll on Tuesday, following a vote by league head coaches. The Majors will look to prove doubters wrong on the field after placing eighth overall.

Brandon Lechtenberg, along with seven new assistant coaches, will look to lead the program with an experienced and talented young group of student-athletes ready for a strong season.
Back-to-back conference runner-up Berry College took home the most votes with 47 as well as the most first-place vote with five. The 2023 defending SAA champions Trinity finished with 45 points along with the remaining three first-place votes.
Centre tallied third with 36 points, while the Majors finished eighth with seven overall votes.
Millsaps will open the 2024 season by hosting Belhaven University in the Riverside Rumble on Thursday, Sept. 5. Kickoff begins at 7 p.m. with live video and stats available at gomajors.com.
With six home games this season, chair-back season tickets are available at $175, and a general admission season tickets pass costs $50. Tickets can be purchased online though
Eventbrite here. Online customers will have the option to have their tickets delivered by mail or be held at will call.
Season tickets can also be purchased, via cash or check, in person at the Millsaps College Athletics office.
Chairback season tickets also include two tear-off passes, one beverage pass to be used at the beer garden or concession stand (soda, sports drink or water) and a second concession stand pass (nachos, Major dog or popcorn). A valid ID must be displayed at the beer garden for purchase.
Without a season package, general admission cost for each home game will be $10 at the gate. Children 8 years old and younger as well as Millsaps students and staff will a current Millsaps school ID will be admitted free.
