DICKSON, Tenn. – The Millsaps men's golf team got off to a strong start at the Greystone Fall Invitational on Sunday. Senior
Will Danielson finished third out of 79 collegiate golfers at the Greystone Golf Club on Sunday.
Danielson carded 3-under for two rounds. He played consistently at 2-under and 1-under and earned his third career collegiate top-5 finish (70-71—141). It was the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native's lowest-ever 36-hole score as a Major as well. Danielson was also named to the Greystone Fall Invitational All-Tournament Team.
Tyler Allred of Transylvania shot only three strokes better for the overall win.
The Majors finished 12th at 27-over in the talented field as Piedmont shot 7-under as a team. Millsaps carded 9-over in the opening round and closed at 18-over.
Freshman
Miles Harrison tied for 47th in his first collegiate debut on the golf course at 7-over (76-75-151).
Classmate
Charlie Berglund was only two strokes behind tied in 61st position (73-80-153).
Junior
Steven Noack (78-83-161) and sophomore
Jason Howe (81-80-161) tied for 75th at 17-over. Senior
Thomas Arensberg concluded the event at 21-over (83-82-165) in 78th.
The Majors will be back in action, Sept. 23-24 and compete at the Rhodes Fall Invitational in Tunica Resorts, Miss.
