CANTON, Ga. – Millsaps men's golf senior Will Danielson was named the first Southern Athletic Association Men's Golf Athlete of the Week for the 2024-25 season on Thursday.

The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, product impressed league coaches, who voted following Danielson's third-place showing at the Greystone Fall Invitational on Sept. 8.

The field consisted of 79 collegiate golfers at the Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn. where Danielson carded 3-under for two rounds. He played consistently at 2-under and 1-under and earned his third career collegiate top-5 finish (70-71—141). It was Danielson's lowest-ever 36-hole score as a Major and was also named to the Greystone Fall Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Millsaps men's golf program will next compete at the Rhodes Fall Invitational at Tunica National Golf Club, Sept. 23-24.
