TUNICA RESORTS, Miss. – The Millsaps men's golf team competed tough in the Rhodes Fall Invitational hosted by Rhodes College, finishing 14th at the Tunica National Golf Club after three rounds on Sunday and Monday.
Senior Will Danielson was named the first Southern Athletic Association Men's Golf Athlete of the Week of the season on Sept. 16 and led the Majors again. He tied for 40th at plus-11 (77-78-72—227). Danielson climbed up 11 spots after an even third round on Monday.
Sophomore Jason Howe made improvements from last week where he tied for 75th in the Greystone Fall Invitational. The Toronto, Ontario, product tied for 43rd at the Tunica National Golf Club at plus-12 (77-74-77—228).
Freshman Charlie Berglund tied for 60th where he contested a plus-20 (79-83-74—236). His plus-2 on Monday vaulted Berglund 11 places up the leaderboard.
Classmate Miles Harrison completed the event with at plus-29 (82-81-82—245) to tie for 73rd. Harrison rounded out the Majors score at plus-82.
Senior Thomas Arensberg made the 75th spot against other collegiate golfers with a plus-31 (84-77-86—247).
Junior Steven Noack ended the Rhodes Fall Invitational 77th with a plus-47 (86-92-85—263).
The Majors will be back in action, Oct. 7-8 competing in the West Pines Collegiate. Oglethorpe University will play host at the West Pines Golf Club in Douglasville, Ga.
