CANTON, Ga. – The Millsaps baseball team was predicted to finish sixth in the 2025 Southern Athletic Association baseball preseason poll announced on Wednesday, following a league-wide head coach.
The Majors will be returning All-SAA starting pitchers graduate Wil Wood and senior Nick Tarantino alongside All-SAA senior catcher Evan Scott.
Berry topped the 2025 baseball SAA preseason poll with three first place-votes and 32 points. The Vikings closed out 2024 with a 28-14 overall record and were 14-7 in SAA play.
Centre placed right behind in the poll in second with 31 points and two first-place votes. The Colonels secured the regular-season and postseason titles after going 36-13 last season.
Returning nine All-SAA players, Rhodes was predicted to finish third with 27 points and two first-place votes.
Millsaps was selected to finish sixth with 11 points, while bringing back three All-SAA student-athletes and 39 total returners.
The Majors also added depth, with 56 student-athletes rostered entering the 2025 regular season.
