CANTON, Ga. — A dynamic Millsaps volleyball duo received Southern Athletic Association honors after tremendous individual seasons on the court, which were announced by the SAA office on Tuesday. Senior middle blocker and middle hitter
Ally Baer was voted All-SAA Honorable Mention by league coaches, while senior libero
Olivia Danos was selected by the Majors to represent the team on the SAA Fall All-Sportsmanship Team.
Baer finished her stellar Major career by making the All-Conference squad for the second consecutive season. The Pace, Fla., native leads the conference with a staggering 73 aces, which also is tied for 11th nationally and fourth in program history.
She also currently ranks third in SAA with 355 kills, while her .289 hitting percentage currently stands as second-best in program history and seventh in the SAA. Additionally, her 69 total blocks rank seventh in the conference.
Baer was named the SAA Volleyball Offensive Athlete of the Week on Sept. 15. She also added 113 digs and 12 assists. Her career concludes with 795 kills, a .273 hitting percentage, 162 assists, 232 blocks and 322 digs.
Danos embodied the team spirit and character as a leader on the team. She appeared in 118 of 126 sets, finishing with 262 digs, 33 aces, 26 assists and six kills.
Over her four-year Millsaps career, she totaled 313 sets over 94 matches. The Houston, Texas, product tallied 642 digs, 85 aces and 75 assists.
