JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps men's and women's swimming & diving programs are prepared for the 2025 Southern Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships after a solid regular season. The championship events will be held at Champions Hall in Danville, Ky., Feb. 12-15.
Competition begins with women's 1-meter diving prelims on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. CT with the first A Finals session commencing at 4:30 p.m. CT.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. preliminary heats will start each day, which will be followed by finals at 5 p.m. The top eight will advance to the A Final and the next eight will score points as well and compete in the B Final.

On the men's side, junior Ben Anderson is tied for second in the Southern Athletic Association season rankings in the 50-yard freestyle (21.20 seconds).
He also ranks third within the conference in the 100-yard freestyle (46.44). The Estes Park, Colo., native sits 22nd in the SAA 200-yard freestyle (1:48.84) as well.
Classmate Andrew Meadows, another competitive swimmer for the Majors, placed 14th (1:04.51) in the 100-Yard IM. He also finished in the top 25 in the 200-yard backstroke (2:15.60).
Sophomore Payton Jones elevated himself into the SAA Rankings as well. The Norco, La., native stands 12th among his conference opponents in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 19:09.12.
Continuing his strong performance in the pool, Jones closed out the regular season 18th in the 400-Yard IM (4:56.92).
On the women's side, senior Kat Burns will look to lead the Majors. Burns is third in the 50-yard breaststroke (31.03) and fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.23).
Mastering her technique, she holds sixth place in the 50-yard freestyle with a 24.74. The Daphne, Ala., product also closed 13th in the 100-yard freestyle (54.96) alongside her other exploits within the conference.
Junior Zoe Cowell leads beside Burns and could have significant outcomes in the 2025 SAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
Cowell saw her best performance in the SAA rankings garner 11th place in the 100-Yard IM (1:09.20). She also enters the meet 12th in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:34.18).
Senior Catherine Passarelli is another standout for the Majors. She stands 14th in the 1650-yard freestyle (19:49.88). The Ocean Springs, Miss., product is also 21st in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:58.18) and 24th in the 500-yard freestyle (5:40.87).
Other Millsaps notable swimmers include graduate Ginny Ray Clevenger. She finished three of her events in the top 35, including the 50-yard backstroke, 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke.
Senior Chloee Beebe lastly enters in 28th in the 50-yard fly (30.66) to finish out the Millsaps conference rankings.
