RICHMOND, Va. – The Millsaps men's and women's swimming and diving programs were both named to the Fall 2024 CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, which was announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America on Monday.
A total of 781 teams from 459 institutions, comprising 19,209 student-athletes earned the distinction across NCAA Division I, II, III as well as the NAIA and the NJCAA. Each team earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
The Millsaps women secured a 3.16 GPA, while the men earned a near identical 3.15 GPA.
Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA, commented on the impressive accomplishments, saying, "The commitment to academic excellence demonstrated by these teams is truly admirable. It is inspiring to see student-athletes excel both in the pool and in the classroom. The CSCAA takes great pride in honoring and celebrating their dedication and achievements.
