JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps men's and women's tennis programs displayed their best talent over the weekend by shutting down cross town rivals Belhaven and NJCAA foe Southwest Mississippi Community College at Coach Montgomery Courts on Saturday and Sunday.
The Majors also recognized seven outstanding seniors, including Carson Chassaignac, Anderson Dulaney, Brady St. Martin, Sam Willard, Mary Dabadie, Segen Lister and Mackenzie Vordick for their incredible hard work throughout their years at Millsaps College. Senior Day was celebrated following the matchups with Southwest Mississippi Community College.
The Majors will next begin conference action on the road at Berry in Mount Berry, Ga., beginning at 8 a.m. CT on Saturday.
Women's Recap vs. Belhaven: 7-0, W
On Saturday, the Majors downed the Blazers 7-0. Dabadie and Vordick both teamed up together to down their opponents, 6-0 on Court One doubles.
In singles, Vordick, freshman Riley McClain and Lister each took down their opponents, 8-0 on Courts Two though Four, respectively.
Freshman Malakie Smith also didn't drop on game on Court Six, prevailing 8-0.
Dabadie and freshman Malakie Spinks owned Court One and Court Five, both triumphing over the Blazers, 8-1 in their matchups.

Men's Recap vs. Belhaven: 4-3, W
After the women's team defeated the Blazers in a mid-morning matchup, the men's squad took down their cross-street opponents with a thrilling 4-3 triumph on Saturday.
Millsaps claimed a crucial doubles point against Belhaven to get the match started.
Dulaney and junior Sam Tuli both worked together to excel past the Blazers, 6-3 on Court One.
Chassaignac and St. Martin both came together as a duo on Court Two and surpassed the Blazers, 6-4.
Freshman Sebastian Gonzalez and Willard gave it their all but fell, 6-3 on Court Three.
In singles, Chassaignac led the Majors, 6-1, 6-4 on Court One. Tuli also downed his foe 6-1, 6-0 on Court Three.
On Court Four, Willard provided his opponent with a challenging matchup. However, the native of Hoover, Ala., native ultimately fell short with a 9-7 tiebreaker in the first set before being bested, 6-3 in set two.
Dulaney provided the clinching point in a thrilling three-set battle on Court Two. After losing the first set 6-3, he claimed set two, 6-2 to rally. The senior battled to a 6-3 decision to secure the triumph.

After a convincing victory over the Blazers on Saturday, the Millsaps women's tennis team defeated Southwest Mississippi Community College by the same 7-0 score on Senior Day.
Millsaps won both doubles matches to claim the doubles point. Dabadie and Vordick teamed up once more to collect their second victory of the weekend, defeating their opponents, 6-1 on Court One.
Junior Alexis Oliver and McClain also blanked their foes, 6-2 on Court Two to give the Majors their final triumph in doubles.
The Majors maintained their momentum in singles with Dabadie defeating her opponent 7-5, 2-6 and 10-4 in the final set tiebreaker on Court One. The native of Baton Rouge, La., displayed her skills in a competitive match.
Vordick continued the successful weekend by bettering her opponent, 6-1, 6-2 on Court Two.
McClain and Lister each had similar scores where they took down their non-conference opponents, 6-1 and 6-0 on Courts Three and Court Four, respectively.
Spinks and Smith each won their matchups by forfeits on Court Five and Six.

Men's Recap vs. No. 24 Southwest Mississippi CC: 7-0, W
After a narrow 4-3 victory over the Blazers on Saturday, the Majors defeated No. 24 NJCAA ranked Southwest Mississippi Community College, 7-0 on Senior Day.
In doubles, the Majors claimed both courts in action to gain a 1-0 advantage.
Dulaney and Tuli came together to take down their opponents 6-3 on Court One.
Chassaignac and St. Martin routed their foes 6-1 on Cout Two.
In singles, the men's team continued to apply pressure against SMCC, claiming points on all six courts.
On Court One, Chassaignac dropped his opponent, 6-3 and 6-4, igniting the Majors at the conclusion of the match.
Dulaney took care of business on Court Two, 6-1 and 6-2 as Tuli shut down his competitor, 6-0 in both sets on Court Three.
Willard beat his contender, 6-2, 6-0 on Court Four, while St. Martin overcame his challenger, 6-3, 6-1 on Court Five.
Freshman Caleb Solangi won by a forfeit on Court Six.
