ROME, Ga. – The Millsaps men's and women's tennis programs traveled to Georgia and competed in four matches inside the Rome Tennis Center, Saturday and Sunday. The men fell to Berry and Oglethorpe, while the women lost to Berry but overcame Oglethorpe, 4-0.
The Majors will be back in action in Jackson, Miss. at the Coach Montgomery Courts on Saturday, hosting Centre College at 9 and 11 a.m.

The Vikings opened Saturday with by claiming the doubles point.
Freshman
Riley McClain battled the closest in singles, falling 6-3, 6-4 on Court Three. Senior
Segen Lister also showed resolve, but was defeated 6-3, 6-3 on Court Four.

Anderson Dulaney and junior
Sam Tuli fought valiantly before falling, 6-4 on Court One. Seniors
Carson Chassaignac and
Brady St. Martin put up a similar fight on Court Two, but were bested 6-4 on Saturday.
Chassaignac rebounded by besting a quality Viking opponent, 6-3, 6-4 on Court One singles.
Tuli also excelled by dispatching his foe, 6-4, 2-6 and 10-5 in a thrilling third-set tiebreaker on Court Three.
Dulaney narrowly lost a first-set tiebreaker, 7-3, but fought back to tie the match with a 6-3 win in set two. However, his Berry counterpart secured a 10-7 decision in the decisive third-set tiebreaker.

The Majors dominated Oglethorpe University to conclude the weekend, Sunday morning. Both Sunday matches were moved indoors to the Rome Tennis Center due to weather in Atlanta.
In doubles, junior
Alexis Oliver and Vordick cruised to a 6-1 decision on Court One. Lister and McClain also teamed up to dispatch their foes, 6-2 on Court Two, while freshman
Skylar Spinks and Smith didn't drop a game (6-0) on Court Three.
The Majors competed on Courts One, Two and Three in singles to clinch the four points needed to claim the match.
Vordick and Oliver tallied identical 6-1, 6-1 triumphs on Courts One and Two, respectively. McClain stepped up on Court Three and didn't surrender a single game as well (6-0, 6-0).

The men's team challenged Oglethorpe across several courts despite a 5-0 final score on Sunday.
Dulaney and Tuli trailed 6-5 on Court One doubles as the doubles point was clinched.
Singles featured a trio of third-set tiebreakers in thrilling back-and-forth matches. Chassaignac dropped the first set, 6-1, but rallied back 6-0. His tiebreak was a narrow, 10-8 loss on Court One.
Dulaney opened with a 6-4 win in set one before his opponent won 6-4 in the second. The thrilling tiebreaker was claimed, 12-10 on Court Two by the Vikings.
Tuli also was victorious in the first set (6-2). His Viking foe won 6-4 in set two and secured the tiebreaker, 10-0 on Court Three. On Court Four, senior
Sam Willard fell, 6-3 in set one and narrowly trailed 2-1 as the match was clinched.
