CANTON, Ga. – Millsaps baseball senior right fielder
Bradley Pelle was impressive the previous four games and was recognized as the Southern Athletic Association Baseball Athlete of the Week by league coaches for his terrific efforts on Monday.
The Kenner, La., native helped the Majors to a 3-1 week and weekend sweep of Oglethorpe. He posted a 0.55 on-base percentage with nine hits, a home run, seven RBIs and seven runs scored. Pelle added two doubles, was hit by two pitches and totaled a 0.778 slugging percentage, which calculates total bases per at-bat.
Pelle earns his second career SAA weekly honor after securing his first as a junior on Feb. 12, 2024. He becomes the third Millsaps baseball student-athlete to earn SAA weekly honors this season, joining classmates
Gray Berry (March 24 - Athlete) and
Nick Tarantino (Feb. 17, March 17 - Pitcher).
The Majors will be back in action and host Huntingdon on Wednesday, beginning at 5 p.m.
