JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps College volleyball program is ready to set serve on their 2025 season after releasing the fall
schedule, which was announced by the Millsaps College Department of Athletics on Friday.
The 33 match-slate will see the Majors play in 12 home matches and 14 conference contests on the court.
There will also be an additional junior varsity match on Sept. 4.
After a pair of scrimmages, the Majors will begin the 2025 regular season against Howard Payne University and the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas on Aug. 29.
After battling against the Yellow Jackets and the Crusaders, Millsaps will conclude their stay in the Lone Star State by facing off against Concordia University (Texas) and Austin College in Sherman, Texas on Aug. 30.
The team will continue their journey through Sept. 5-6 in a quartet of matchups against LaGrange College, Huntingdon College, the University of St. Thomas (Texas) and Piedmont University in Montgomery, Ala. Millsaps also travels to nearby Tougaloo College for a showdown with the Bulldogs on Sept. 8.
The Majors will then place their focus on the annual Millsaps Invitational from Sept. 12-13, where seven teams will look to battle it out on two courts inside the Hangar Dome.
The eight teams will include Belhaven University, Centenary College, Huntingdon College, Lyon College, McMurry University, University of Dallas and host Millsaps College.
Following the Millsaps Invitational, the squad will travel to the eastern part of the state to face MUW in Columbus, Miss., on Sept. 17.
Continuing the regular season, the Majors will then journey to Atlanta, Ga., from Sept. 20-21, where they will look to challenge Oglethorpe University, Sewanee and newcomers to the Southern Athletic Association, Southwestern University in league-opening pod play.
Millsaps will remain in the Peach State, Sept. 27-28 to compete against Centre College, Berry College and another newcomer to the conference, Trinity University in Mount Berry, Ga.
The Majors follow by hosting Tougaloo College on Oct. 3. Millsaps will then return to Jackson to take down Rhodes College (Oct. 9), Berry College (Oct. 11) and Oglethorpe University (Oct. 12) in epic showdowns.
The team will then trek back on the road to meet Centre College in Danville, Ky., on Oct. 18 and be welcomed by Sewanee, in Tenn., the following next day.
Staying in the Volunteer State, the Majors will travel to cross paths in three matchups against Rhodes College, Saint Mary's College (IN) and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in Memphis, Tenn., Oct. 24-25.
Millsaps will then return to the Hangar Dome and conclude their home slate against conference opponents Southwestern University (Oct. 31), Trinity University (Nov. 1) and non-conference foes MUW on (Nov. 4).
The Majors will look to finish the regular season strong against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and rivals Belhaven University inside the nearby Heidelberg Gymnasium in Jackson, Miss., on Nov. 8.
Conference supremacy will be on the line as the Majors travel to the 2025 SAA Volleyball Championship, which will be hosted by Oglethorpe University, in Atlanta, Nov. 13-15.
