Millsaps Duo Named to 2025 CSC Academic All-America® Baseball Teams

Gray Berry, Bradley Pelle are First Baseball Academic All-Americans Since 2007

AUSTIN, Texas — A pair of Millsaps baseball student-athlete standouts continued their impressive haul of postseason recognition by being named to the 2025 CSC Academic All-America® Baseball Third Team on Tuesday. Seniors Gray Berry and Bradley Pelle were both selected by the College Sports Communicators based off their dedication on the diamond and inside the classroom.

The 2025 ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com All-Americans became the seventh and eighth Majors across all sports to receive Academic All-America honors. They are now fourth and fifth from the Millsaps baseball program and the first since John Pacillo was recognized by ESPN The Magazine following the 2007 season.

The Division III team boasts a 3.80 average GPA, with a 3.81 average for the first team. Two of the 34 Division III selections have a cumulative 4.0 grade point average.

The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division III Academic All-America® program.

Graduating with a 3.58 GPA as an undergraduate, Berry earned his undergraduate degree in business administration with a minor in digital marketing.

The outstanding leadoff third baseman led the Majors to an impressive (29-15, 13-5 SAA) record. He was named an All-American by ABCA/Rawlings (Third Team) and D3baseball.com (Fourth Team) as well as the All-SAA First Team during his senior campaign.

The West Point, Miss., native started in all 44 games for the Majors during the 2025 season and finished first in the conference with 65 runs scored, while tying for second with 69 hits to go along with his accolades.

Berry's impressive .408 batting average garnered second in the conference as well. The .408 is tied for sixth in the Millsaps record book.

His stellar 45 RBIs ranked third in the league and he was fourth in the conference with 16 doubles. He was also third in the nation and second in program history with 29 hit by pitches.

Outside of baseball, Berry was named to the Dean's List, was recently announced a member of the 2025 Spring SAA Academic Honor Roll and was inducted into the 2024-25 Sigma Alpha Alpha Honor Society.

Berry also joined the 2025 CSC Academic All-District® DIII Baseball Team as well. During the summer of 2024, Berry spent most of his time as a fan experience intern for Mississippi State Athletics.

Pelle, was honored as the 2025 SAA Baseball Athlete of the Year and garnered First All-America status by both ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com.

The Kenner, La., native finished his undergraduate studies with a 3.70 GPA while majoring in business administration. He appeared on the All-SAA First Team and was the Region 6 Position Player of the Year.

Always determined to be the best, Pelle led the team and the conference with 14 home runs. This impressive total is now tied for second in Major lore.

The right fielder also ranked first in the league with 70 hits and 21 doubles. He was also second in the league with 59 RBIs. Pelle finished second on the team with a .387 batting average in 44 starts.

He also set the program record with 135 total bases, is tied for third with 21 doubles and ranks fifth in RBIs. Pelle posted an 18-game hitting streak during the season and was held hitless only four times as a senior. He became the 10th Major to amass 200-career hits with 201.

Outside of baseball, Pelle has made Club 40 twice as well as the President's List, SAA Academic Honor Roll and Dean's List multiple times and is a member of the CSC Academic All-District® Baseball Team twice.

Exceeding past expectations, Pelle is a 2024-25 Sigma Alpha Alpha Honor Society inductee as well.

Pelle played a significant role in giving back to the Millsaps and local community. He volunteered for four years with Millsaps baseball camps, worked with the Male Christian Fellowship, served as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, acted as a Presidential Ambassador and took part in the Government and Politics Club.

Two years ago, Pelle helped Habitat for Humanity where he landscaped a house. He also helped box up food and grain to be shipped to Africa through the Mississippi Food Network.
