CANTON, Ga. – The Millsaps men's and women's cross country programs are ready to compete strong during the Fall slate. Both teams were selected to finish eighth by league coaches in their respective 2025 SAA Men's and Women's Cross Country preseason polls, which were announced by the SAA Office on Tuesday.
On the men's side, Berry College took the number one spot in the 2025 preseason poll with four first-place votes, while receiving 52 points.
Conference newcomers, Trinity University, finished second right behind Berry with 51 points, while being tied with the Vikings with four first-place selections as well.
Centre College crossed the finish line in third place with 45 votes, while the Majors were tabbed eighth with 14 votes.
Making their debut season in the Southern Athletic Association, Trinity was picked first on the women's side with four first-place votes and 52 points.
Following behind the Tigers, Centre held the second spot with 50 points and two first-place tallies.
Berry boasted third place with 48 points, tying with Centre with a couple of first-place votes.
The Millsaps women's cross country team also were tabbed eighth with 14 points.
The Majors will begin their seasons at the City Auto Memphis Twilight XC Classic on Saturday, Aug. 30.
