CANTON, Ga. — Millsaps football sophomore kicker
Connor Babin etched his name in the program's record book, helping the Majors best Centenary College, 56-14 at Harper Davis Field on Saturday. His tremendous work garnered him SAA Special Team Athlete of the Week recognition, which was announced by the conference office on Monday.
He went a perfect 8-for-8 on PATs, which is tied for second-most makes and tied for third-most attempts all-time by a Major. Babin also added eight kickoffs that sailed 445 yards (55.6-yard average), with three touchbacks against the Gents.
Babin secures his third SAA weekly special teams honor of her career after being awarded the honor twice as a freshman last season.
