CANTON, Ga. – The Millsaps men's and women's swimming and diving programs are looking to improve in the pool after both teams were selected seventh in the 2025-26 Southern Athletic Association Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving preseason polls. Both were voted on by league coaches and announced by the SAA office on Wednesday.
On the men's side, Trinity University was selected first in the 2025-26 preseason poll with 47 points and five first-place votes. Rhodes College took the second spot with 43 points and two first-place votes. Centre College secured third place with 37 points.
Millsaps will look to turn things around under new head coach Andrew Foltz. The Majors was predicted to finish seventh while earning 18 points.
On the women's side, Trinity was also picked first with 48 points courtesy of six first-place votes. Centre placed second with 40 points and one first-place vote and Rhodes was tabbed third in the 2025-26 preseason poll with 39 points.
Millsaps finished seventh with 18 points and will look to continue setting the tone high in the conference.
The Majors will open their 2025 fall campaign by traveling to Cleveland, Miss., where they will compete in the Magnolia Invitational, hosted by Delta State University, on Sept. 19. Millsaps will compete in nine regular-season meets and host two foes.
Millsaps will then turn their attention towards the 2026 SAA Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be hosted at Centre College inside Champions Hall for four days, Feb. 11-14 in Danville, Ky.
Hopeful qualifiers will then travel to Indianapolis, Ind., and compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, slated for March 18-21.
