JACKSON, Miss. — Millsaps football sophomore defensive lineman
Myles Johnson was a wrecking ball, helping the Majors dominate and defeat Hendrix 41-19 in Conway, Ark., on Saturday. His efforts were enough to earn himself a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week as a defensive tackle on Tuesday.
He posted seven tackles, 2.5 TFLs, including two sacks and a quarterback hurry. Johnson helped hold the Warriors to only 27 rushing yards on 29 rush attempts, while contributing to seven total team sacks — tying for third-most in a single game in program history.
Johnson is the first Major to earn D3football.com weekly honors since graduate
Ethan Klapatch earned four D3football.com Team of the Week honors in 2023, with the last being announced on Nov. 7, 2023.
