GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Millsaps College women's basketball team landed four student-athletes on the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team announced by the CSC on Tuesday.
The quartet help lead the Majors to win their second postseason title in program history and earning their fourth appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament during the 2025-26 season.
These four student-athletes exemplified what it means to give their all on the court while staying fully committed inside the classroom. Juniors Tia Anderson, Garin Freeman, Bailey Johnson, and senior Elyse Warren were all recognized.
Anderson, double majoring in Psychology and Health & Exercise Science, boasted a 3.96 cumulative GPA in her academic studies.
Anderson is a two-time member of Club 40, a three-time associate of the president's list, and has made the Spring SAA Academic Honor Roll on two occasions.
She has been named to the CSC Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team for the second consecutive year.
During the summer of 2025, Anderson shadowed at Capitol Ortho as an occupational therapist, and in the fall of 2024, she worked as an athletic trainer for the Majors.
During the 2025–26 season, she started all 29 games for the Majors and recorded 484 total points, 234 rebounds, 48 steals, and 14 blocks.
The Brusly, La., native also finished her junior campaign averaging 16.7 points per game, along with 37 assists.
Anderson was named to the 2025–26 All-SAA Second Team and the 2026 SAA Women's Basketball Tournament Team.
Double majoring in Biology and Health & Exercise Science, Freeman holds a 3.95 cumulative GPA, she has been recognized on the president's list four times, Club 40 twice, spring SAA Academic Honor Roll on two occasions.
Freeman has made the CSC Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams for the second consecutive year. on campus she serves as the Senate Cabinet member and National Honor Society
Freeman, a junior guard from Little Rock, Ark., made the All-SAA First Team for the second straight season and third time overall after breaking out as an All-SAA Honorable Mention her freshman year. She was also named the SAA Tournament MVP and D3hoops.com All-Region Honors.
Following the 2025-26 season, Freeman ranks first nationally with 195 assists, and third with 6.7 dimes per game. She is also first in free-throw attempts (251), and fifth in free-throw makes (162).
Across the conference, Freeman stood second in minutes per game, first in points (511), runner-up in points per contest (17.6), while also standing fourth in steals (65) and steals per game (2.2).

Freeman holds the conference record for free throws made (20) in a single game. She finished her junior campaign, starting all 29 games, leading the Majors to a conference title and an appearance in the 2026 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship.
Johnson, a Psychology major, has been recognized on the CSC Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team for the first time in her academic career while holding a 3.68 cumulative GPA.
The Metairie, La., native has earned Dean's List honors twice and has been recognized on the President's List once for her success inside the classroom.
On campus, she serves as an Information Technology Helpdesk Technician, Student Body Association Vice President, Secretary of the Psi Chi International Honor Society, and holds leadership roles in Chi Omega Sorority, Director of Programming and Secretary. After graduation, Johnson plans to attend graduate school to major in Higher Education and Student Affairs.
During the 2025–26 season, Johnson started 28 games for the Majors, finishing second on the team with 45 made three-pointers and 40 assists, fourth with 163 total points and 22 steals. She was also named to the 2025–26 SAA All-Sportsmanship Team.
Johnson recorded a season-high 18 points in a conference game against Sewanee on Jan 11. She also posted a season-best six rebounds against MUW and added four steals at Bethel University during the 2026 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship.
Warren, a double major in Mathematics and Neuroscience, holds a 3.90 cumulative GPA. Off the court the center is a Rhodes Scholarship finalist and holds several leadership roles on campus, including President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Omicron Delta Kappa, Head Chair of the Honor Council, President of Nu Rho Psi, and Medical School Chair for the Medical Readiness Initiative.
Additionally, She serves as Vice President of Major Lifts and is a member of the Millsaps Women's Flag Football team. After graduation, Warren plans to attend medical school for her MD and reapply for the Rhodes Scholarship to further pursue an Oncology PhD.
Named All-America Honorable Mention by WBCA, Warren was also recognized on the 2025-26 D3hoops.com All-Region 6 First Team and was a finalist for the 2025-26 Jostens Trophy Award.
She was also selected for the SAA Women's Basketball Defensive Athlete of the Year and made All-SAA First Team. She has set both the conference single-season and career rebounding records with 479 and 1,219 boards, respectively.
Across NCAA Division III, Warren ranks third in total boards and third in rebounds per game (17.1 rpg). Earlier this season, she grabbed 33 rebounds in a single game, which is also a conference record.
She is also second nationally with 24 double-doubles in just 28 games. Averaging 14.8 points per game, she ranks seventh in the conference. With her 1,236 career points, she is the first player in program history to record 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.
The Rhodes Scholarship Finalist is also first in the league in field goal percentage at 53.9 percent (153-of-284 FG). Warren also has 33 steals, 13 blocks, and nine assists. This is Warren's third time being recoginzed on the CSC Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams.
