JACKSON, Miss. — The Millsaps College volleyball team is ready to ace the 2026 season, returning 18 veterans while welcoming seven newcomers eager to make their mark at the collegiate level. The Majors will look to make an impact in front of awesome fans, both inside the Hangar Dome and on FloSports online.

The Millsaps College volleyball team will be led by 19-year head coach Jaime Fisher and first-year assistant Anna Capezzera, who was a member of the Millsaps volleyball team from 2021 to 2024.

In four seasons with the Majors, Capezzera registered a career total of 3,226 attacks, 895 kills, 753 digs, 134 aces, 117 block assists, nine block solos, 70 assists in 340 sets, and 95 matches played in her stellar performances.

Making her way back to the net and looking to help lead the Majors to a winning season and conference title, Sandy Bourgeios (DS/L) is returning for her senior campaign after appearing in all 29 games during the 2025-26 season.

The Luling, La., native has boasted 1,206 digs, 169 assists, and 144 attacks throughout her career with the Majors. Last season Bourgeois led the team with 530 digs and was a runner-up with 75 assists among the Majors.

Sophomore Rachel Zamjahn (S/RS) also will be making her way back to the court. Last year Zamjahn finished first among the Majors with 951 assists, second with 325 digs, and fifth with 123 kills.

Key contributors will also include seniors Amelia Bohl (RS) and Caroline Russo (S/DS). Last season, Bohl appeared in 17 matches and played 43 sets, recording six block assists.

Russo recorded 27 assists, six total attacks, four digs, and one ace during the 2025 season. She will look to become a key contributor for the Majors during the 2026 season.

Having the confidence and the will to give everything on the court, juniors Lily Bumpers (OH), Mara Colón (DS/L), Abigail Drury (S/DS), Jenna Nattinger (OH/RS), Zoë LaCaze (MH), and McCullough Lawson (DS) are all ready to compete against 28 regular season opponents this season.

Drury was a top contender the prior year, adding 373 total attacks, 237 digs, 66 assists, five kills, and one block assist. LaCaze could potentially have a standout season as well; she finished fourth among her teammates with 29 total blocks and 26 block assists to finish strong above the nets.

Learning quickly from the team's veteran players last season, sophomores Kinney Boyle (OH/DS), Madelynn Sasser (OH), Lily Luneau (MH), Laila Fredieu (DS/L), London Bean (OH/DS), Tatum Hasby (OH/RS), Atlee Gonzales (S/DS), and Anna Ware (S) look to make an impact and place their names high on the conference leaderboards.

Sasser earned respect on the court by accumulating 134 kills in 80 sets across 28 matches, including 12 starts. The Brewton, Ala., native put pressure on her opponents with 509 total attacks, three assists, 46 digs, and 13 total blocks.

When it comes to recruiting, the Millsaps volleyball program prioritizes bringing in the best high school volleyball student-athletes across the country while building for the future. 

Freshmen Karalee Cormier (RS/DS), Kaleigh Miller (MB), Kyla Colón (DS), Jada Moore (MB), Khloe Duncan (OH), and Rylie Berry (RS), along with sophomore newcomer Lanae Phillips (MB), are looking to have outstanding careers while making a great impact on the program.
