CANTON, Ga. — Graduate Zabian Boutan has been recognized for his tremendous efforts following the Majors' win at Centenary by being named the Southern Athletic Association Football Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday.

The defensive lineman helped power the Majors to a 57-0 triumph at Centenary on Saturday. He totaled five tackles, three TFLs, one sack and forced a fumble that he also returned for a 40-yard touchdown. The touchdown came with 48 seconds remaining in the second quarter and helped put Millsaps up, 13-0.

The annoucement marks the second consecutive week a Major has garnered SAA Defensive Athlete of the Week prowess. Last week, junior Myles Johnson received the same honor following the Majors' 36-20 victory over Belhaven.

Millsaps will return to Harper Davis Field and host Hendrix College on Saturday, Sept. 19. The game will double as the Hall of Fame Game and will begin at 1 p.m. Live video and live stats will be available at gomajors.com. Coverage will also be found online at FloCollege.
