Cole Berry

Cole Berry joined the Millsaps football coaching staff as the wide receivers coach and video coordinator in July 2021. The 2022 season will be Berry's second in Jackson.

The Majors combined for seven student-athletes on the All-SAA Team, four SAA Players of the Week, 20 members on the SAA All-Academic Honor Roll and five NFF Hampshire Honor Society inductees. Prior to arriving in Jackson, Berry served as the interim head coach and defensive coordinator of the Austin Sound in the X League (2018-2021). The Sound defense broke numerous records in 2019 and finished with an undefeated record for the first time in franchise history. Austin also totaled four All-Fantasy players during his tenure with the team and was ranked the number one team in the preseason in both 2020 and 2021 before cancelations of these seasons. Berry was an offensive assistant at Austin College. During his tenure (2019) the offensive side of the ball broke multiple offensive passing marks and finished with a 5-5 record, the program’s best finish in the past three years. He was also a part of the Kangaroos as a wide receiver from 2016-2018.
Berry was also a strength and conditioning coach at Round Rock High School, West Wood High School, and McKinney Boyd High School from 2018 to 2021.
Berry graduated with a bachelor’s degree in History, with Minors in Exercise and Sports Science and Education from Austin College (Sherman, Texas) in 2020.
