Millsaps College Athletics

Darby was named the Millsaps football running backs coach in March of 2022. He joins Millsaps after serving as the Leake County High School Athletic Director since 2017. He also was the head football coach for varsity, junior varsity, junior high and the school’s powerlifting coach.

From 2016-17, Darby was the offensive coordinator, junior varsity football coach, powerlifting coach and head fast-pitch softball coach with the Leake County School District.

He was also both the offensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coach at Scott Central High School (2014-16) and Leake County High School (2013-14). Darby also taught math, physical education and ICT at various times since 2013.

Darby returns to Jackson after serving as the running backs coach at Belhaven University from 2010-12.

He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration with a minor in Business Education from Belhaven in 2013.
