Fowler Freund joined the Millsaps coaching staff in 2020. He served as the tight ends coach in the spring and running backs coach in the fall of 2021.
During his two seasons, the Majors have combined for 18 student-athletes on the All-SAA Team, five SAA Players of the Week, 44 members on the SAA All-Academic Honor Roll and nine NFF Hampshire Honor Society inductees.
Prior to coaching at Millsaps, he played and coached at the University of Texas at El Paso. Freund was a long snapper from 2015-2018 as well as a student assistant special teams coach.
He earned his bachelor's degree in General Management from UTEP.
