A native of Spanish Fort, Ala., Kristian Cotton joined the Millsaps College football staff in June of 2024 as safeties coach and special teams coordinator.
Cotton came to Millsaps College after spending much of his time as the corners coach at Elberta (Ala.) High School from 2020-2023 and Spanish Fort (Ala.) High School in 2023-2024.
A former college football wide receiver at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2017-2018. Cotton earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in New Media from UAB in 2020.
Prior to the collegiate ranks, he was an Alabama prep standout at Spanish Fort. Cotton led the football team with over 1,000 yards receiving his senior year, while starting in 41 straight games. Cotton is a two-time state champion, AL.com Player of the week, All-State wide receiver and a participant in the Alabama/Mississippi All-Star Game.
He is married to his wife Hannah.
