Matthew Wehrhahn joined the Millsaps coaching staff in 2019 as the outside linebackers coach.
Prior to arriving in Jackson he worked as a linebackers coach at Kings College (Wilkes-Barre, PA). While at Kings he oversaw the inside linebackers. During the 2018 season the team finished third in the Middle Atlantic Conference in sacks, was ranked third overall in pass defense and had one all-conference linebacker.
Before entering collegiate coaching, Wehrhahn served as the assistant varsity coach at West Morris Central High School in Morris County, New Jersey from 2015-2017. While at West Morris Central he coached the inside linebackers and tight ends.
Before West Morris Central, he was a letter winner at NCAA Division II East Stroudsburg University from August 2009 through December 2011. Wehrhahn played special teams and contributed as a linebacker on defense.
Wehrhahn graduated from Full Sail University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Recording Arts, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in communications from Southern New Hampshire in 2016.
