High School: played for head coach Ralph Potter at the McCallie School in Chattanooga, TN. part of a senior class that compiled a 25-9 record over three years. as a senior, member of 10-2 team that reached the state championship game.

Personal: Son of Bill and Leigh Patterson of Ridgeland, MS... one brother, Robbie (22)... political science major, minor in political science.... officer of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
