Sophomore Season (2024): 2024 All-SAA Second Team Defense ...  Appeared in all nine games … Led the team second with 61 tackles (36 solo, 25 assists); his two interceptions were first among the team, boasting 40 interception return yards … Jones added three solo TFL and one assisted TFL (eight TFL yards) with two pass breakups to his highlights … Posted a season-high 10 tackles in two games vs. Belhaven University on Sept. 5 (seven solo, five TFL yards, two solo TFL, and one assisted TFL) and at Rhodes College on Nov. 2 (five assists) … Returned an interception for a season-high 35 yards vs. Centre College on Oct. 12 … Broke up a pass in two games vs. Bridgewater College on Sept. 21 and at Sewanee on Sept. 28. While dominating on the field, Jones also finished strong inside the classroom by making the 2024 Fall SAA Academic Honor Roll and the 2024 CSC Academic All-District® Team.

Freshman Season (Fall 2023): Started in all 10 games for the Majors … Tied third among his teammates with 24 tackles …Jones finished fourth on the team with 15 assist tackles and 39  total tackles … On Nov.4 he rushed for 24 yards against Southwestern ... On Oct. 21 Jones completed a season high of eight tackles against Centre ... Went by James Jones freshman campaign.

Prior to Millsaps: Lettered in football, track & field ... Set the 100m dash by 11.08 in the 5A Region ... 5A  All-Region as a defensive back ... 2023 5A  Alabama State Champion ... Member of the National Honor Society, Business Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.
